The Water Brook's primary focus is for the incarcerated, their children and other family members.  It uses a team approach to facilitate and deliver the introduction of God's Word.  It also teaches the Holy Bible as being the true and inspired Word of God.  This ministry provides an opportunity to share God's Word and provide a means for the incarcerated to receive freedom on the inside, through group fellowship, individual visits, corresponding by letter and telephone calls.  There are men and women of Monument of Joy who have experienced the trial of incarceration and they want to minister strength to families facing this trial.  The primary role of this ministry is to help the incarcerated become truly rehabilitated as they develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Min. Mulikal Abdullah - Director

Empowerment Session time is set aside to help increase the spiritual knowledge and maturity of the church body.  The service is held each Thursday at 7:00pm.  Study times are led by Apostle Zoe El to ensure the direction of the body.  Members are encouraged to come out and learn the different ways God's Word can be applied to their everyday life.

The Praise & Worship Ministry is a team of worshipers that minister musical selections devoted to praise, adoration and thanksgiving to God Almighty. The team meets each Tuesday at 6:00 pm. Their goal is to set an atmosphere that would allow teaching and preaching to be easy as they give way for the Holy Spirit to have his way. The ministry is seeking those who live a lifestyle of worshiping and praising God in spirit and in truth.

Balm in Gilead is designed to heal the physical being - heart, soul, and mind. The ministry gives participants the motivation and opportunity to overcome spiritual, emotional and chemical addictions in an atmosphere of support and healing from caring friends. Through this non-religious service partners are encouraged to share their testimony without the feeling of being judged or condemned. The ministry allows men, women, and children from broken situations to examine themselves spiritually and realize they are not alone in the quest to experience a "total recovery" --regardless of the losses they have suffered. God has mended broken hearts, reconciled relationships, and restored all the years that the locusts and cankerworm have eaten. At MOJ, there is truly a Balm in Gilead.
